This style of photograph appeals to me. I've been trying to take them for many years, and still have a lot to learn.
The panoramic aspect photos have been mirrored, which is how I intended to treat the photos from the beginning. Similarly, I knew that they'd be presented as black and white, since I was using a ten-stop neutral density filter that never seems to render colours quite right. These were taken with my D800 and 85/2.8 PCE lens – which is the reason why I use a Nikon camera – and the process of taking them has given me an idea on a technique to use for next time.
As always, I have a lot to learn, and the process is a rewarding one.
