I've needed to take a break recently, so my little yellow Instax and I headed over to the neighbourhood museum. I enjoy the Instax Folio, which I make with the dedicated mini film printer, but this time I went for a bit more spontaneity.

And yes, the walls really are different colours.

And the framing viewfinder was working just fine.

Instax photos are distinctly different from digital photos, or even scanned negatives, in that they don't quite translate into the electronic medium. They're little objects, unique to the moment when taken with an Instax camera, and even reprintable prints made with the Share printer have an objectness that lends to the experience of looking at them.
