If I could be a gull and live anywhere in the world it's hard to imaging a better place than this. There's lots to eat and always wind to play with. What a thrilling place – I wonder if the birds that nest along Toronto's waterfront have heard of it.

Every time I try to count the birds in this photo I come away with a different number. My best guess, from scrolling through the full-resolution image a few times, is fourteen.
