This is always what I come back to.

There's something particular about standing on the shore, waves immediately before me, and as far as I can see away. And the sky, even though I can't see it, is just as close and just as far.

Water is the edge of the city where I live.

Seeing in extended time the boundary of the water smooths and shows its deeper spirit; it is shaped by the land and the wind. It reflects the sky and the light, continually changing.

And always the horizon itself remains unreachable, the limit of perception, while wind and light perform across the water before me.

Water is where I begin and where I end.
