Visiting the aquarium can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It certainly can be if you do it right, but I think this was my fourth or fifth trip. It's been years since my last attempt, so it was nice to go back again and know that it wasn't something I'd repeat.

Perhaps it's the lighting, or perhaps it's my time with black and white film, but white balance and colour correction was pretty much impossible. Eventually I resorted to the dodge of creative interpretation and making them look the way I wanted them to look, etc.

I gave up on colour correcting this one. The autofocus miss was unintentional, but I've been thinking that I need to get back to the zoo and continue my series where I photograph the enclosures with the animals out of focus. Or at least go back into Lightroom to wrap up what I have.

Two photos that I can't resist taking. These are actually fairly straightforward, with the colours as provided by the jellyfish tank.
