There's a Chögyam Trungpa joke, something he's said to have said: "The bad news is that you're falling, and you don't have a parachute. The good news is that there's no ground."

That's as true as it ever was, it's just not as funny as it used to be.

I was looking for solidity when I took this photo. It was taken on the first weekend in March, one month ago, before everything here was the way it is now. But these bricks are stacked on top of my tripod head, which was the only way I could create a level resting place, even though it was both precarious and risky. It seemed like a worthwhile chance then, but I probably wouldn't do it now.
