Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day is an important annual holiday for me, so I really didn't want to miss it. That's why I had some HP5 loaded in my small plastic 6x6, and kept it tucked in my rain jacket pocket when I was out doing other things on the last Sunday in April.

If nothing else, I knew I had used it for this photo.

Fortunately I was done the things I needed to do, and the rain was holding off, so I was able to take that little camera to the local park. This remains the only time I've loaded a new roll of film in a camera since leaving Toronto in November; I've finished off what was in my F6 and am working through the roll that's in my Ikon, but otherwise I've only been digital.

Part of going through a prolonged lull of photographic ennui is that I don't see much when I'm out, and don't care much about the photos when I'm done. So even with the burst of WPPD enthusiasm my results are nowhere near the volume or variety of what I've done in previous years.

I have found a couple of ideas that are interesting and that I'll be exploring. Something might come of them. And I have a major personal project in the works that will be realized later this summer. But the end of June through July are always busy times for me, with not much happening photographically, so I'm not putting too much pressure on everything working out.
