This is a remedial project – the photos were taken in 2013, but I've only caught up and posted them as I prepare for the 2020 auto show season.

Looking back there are a couple of things that catch my eye.

One is that the first two photos are taken on film, using Ilford XP2 in a Nikon F5 with the 50/1.4D lens. Its distinctive grain is especially evident in the shadows on the hood of the car in the second image. For the 2020 show I'll be going back with an F6 and HP5 film, which is why I was looking for these older and unposted photos.

The other is that I was already getting tired of cars-as-cars, and found the marketing ridiculous enough to feature several times. That has been the most consistent theme among all of my visits.
